dsacls is a helpful command-line utility that lets IT personnel view and modify Active Directory access control lists (ACLs).

  • /A : Display ownership and auditing fields

  • /P : Mark the object as protected (Y/N)
  • /R : Remove all permissions for a group
  • /S : Restore security on object to default
  • /T : Restore security on tree to default

Usage

  1. Launch Gold Finger
  2. Select tool ACL Viewer
  3. Select report View ACL of an AD object
  4. Enter target object's DN in Scope field
  5. Click Gold Finger button
  6. For detailed view, click Details button
  7. To export ACL, click Export button
  8. To export ACLs of all objects in an OU or domain, use ACL Exporter capability
