whoami is a helpful command-line utility that lets users enumerate the list of all groups to which they themselves belong.

Usage

  • /UPN : Display user name in User Principal Name format
  • /FQDN : Displays user name in Fully Qualified Distinguished Name format
  • /USER : Displays user info, including SID
  • /GROUPS : Displays user's memberships
  • /PRIV : Displays user's security privileges
  • /LOGONID : Displays user's logon ID
  • /ALL : Displays all of the above for user
  • /FO : Specifies the output format (TABLE/LIST/CSV)
  • /NH : Specifies that column header should not be displayed in output

Usage

  1. Launch Gold Finger
  2. Select tool Membership Reporting Tool
  3. Select report View the complete list of all security groups to which a user belongs
  4. Enter the user's DN in Scope field
  5. Optionally configure the Retrieve field
  6. Click Gold Finger button
  7. To view the list of groups for the specified user, see the Membership pane
  8. To export the list of groups to which the user belongs, click the Export button
  9. To document the list of groups to which the user belongs, click the PDF button
