How long does it take to install Gold Finger Mini, and who can install it?
It takes 2 minutes to install Gold Finger Mini. It can be installed on any computer that is joined to an Active Directory domain. Anyone with a domain user account can instantly install and use it.

Does it require Active Directory administrative rights to run?
No. Gold Finger Mini only requires Read access to Active Directory content, which by default is already granted to everyone with a domain user account, so no administrative rights are required.
In essence, you only (do) need to have a valid domain user account in the target Active Directory.

What credentials does Gold Finger Mini use? Can it use alternate credentials?
Gold Finger uses Kerberos authentication and thus automatically uses the credentials of the logged-on user. For security reasons, it currently does not permit the use of alternate credentials.

Can I install it even if I don't have sufficient rights to install software on my computer?

Can I use it in any Active Directory environment?
Yes. However, please note that a license can only be tied to one Active Directory forest, so if you want to use it in multiple Active Directory forests, you can do so by acquiring multiple licenses.

Can my IT group audit the use of Gold Finger Mini?
Gold Finger Mini only performs read access in Active Directory. IT groups do not typically audit Active Directory read access due to the sheer volume of read-access that takes place in Active Directory every day. As such, as an authenticated user, you already have read access to virtually all content in your Active Directory, and you are entitled to knowing who can reset your password.

Is a corporate email-address required to buy a Gold Finger Mini license?
No. You can use any email-address to buy a Gold Finger Mini license, and you can request a license for any Active Directory environment. Due to the sheer volume of requests received, we cannot police the issuance of Gold Finger Mini licenses.

Is a Gold Finger Mini license purchase refundable?
Due to the nature of software, a Gold Finger Mini license once purchased is non-refundable.
